Wall of Guns returns for 2013 Annual Meeting in Houston

The industry’s latest and greatest can be yours at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting raffle

Fairfax, Virginia – Like NRA Country Jam at this spring’sNRA Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas, another great event making its return is the Wall of Guns raffle.

Also started in 2011, the name accurately describes the event. From May 3-5 a large wall, literally covered in guns, will be put up in the Houston Convention Center. No, it isn’t a piece of modern art. The guns can come down, but not everyone will be able to get one.

What’s the trick? It isn’t too hard: win the raffle. A ticket to enter costs $20. Once 100 tickets have been sold, sales are halted and a winner is drawn. Afterwards, all tickets are scrapped and the count to 100 begins all over again.

Thanks to sponsors Cabela’s and Leupold, this year’s wall (designed by Legacy Quest Outdoors) will feature the latest and greatest firearms from the industry’s top manufacturers.

For example, last year’s wall featured over 70 guns including a Colt Blue Commander .45ACP, a Savage 10 Carbine .308WIN, a Henry Golden Boy .22, a Remington 770 7mm Real Tree APG, Smith & Wesson Field Carry .40 and… you get the picture.

And since this year’s Annual Meeting is in Houston, let’s just say you’re going to know why they say “Everything’s bigger in Texas” when you see it.

Don’t think you’ll have time for the raffle because there’s too many things to see at Annual Meeting? Don’t worry. You don’t need to be present to win so you can go off and explore the rest of the convention center. You’re missing out on some fun if you’re an absentee winner, though. After seeing the looks on winners’ faces followed by combing the wall to pick their prize, you’re going to want to be there if you win.

If you’re coming to Annual Meeting, the Wall of Guns will be hard to miss and, once you see it, you’ll be hard pressed not to join in on a raffle… or two.
